Description
This beautiful ornate European building, which looks as if it could be in fair Verona, Italy, has a curved wrought iron balcony on the second floor which evokes memories of the scene from William Shakespeare's play where Romeo makes his romantic declarations of love to Juliet.
The shutter style doors of this building, which is actually in Lyon, France, are open, and one of the gauze curtains is pulled back. It is as if someone is just about to emerge ...
This scene also reminds me of balconies at Buckingham Palace, in London, England, where the royals sometimes present themselves to the public on important occasions, such as the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
This image has been lightly colorized in pastel tones of blue and purple, which contrast softly with the greens of plants and branches of a nearby tree.
