Description
Mykonos is a lovely Greek island with whitewashed buildings, domed churches, iconic windmills, and beautiful painted woodwork.
In this scene, the turquoise and aqua accents of the painted balconies, doors, windows, and shutters are themselves further accented by the touch of red on one set of stairway rails and the bright yellows of someone's laundry.
One of my favorite things to do in Mykonos is to wander its cobblestone streets, exploring little alleys and other inviting scenes which greet the happy wanderer.
Another favorite past time is to visit a waterside cafe in Little Venice, and enjoy the warm sunshine and cool breezes off the Aegean, while sipping a frappe and perhaps indulging in a piece of baklava.
Mykonos is a popular port on cruises visiting the Greek islands. Mykonos and Santorini are my favorites of the islands I have visited.
