Description
A double-crested cormorant is perched on a submerged cypress stump in the middle of the Wakulla River. His profile highlights his colorful curved yellow and orange beak. He has a rather comical look and is almost cute!
Cormorants, also called shags, are aquatic birds which dive while hunting fish. They live in coastal areas like this beautiful scene in Wakulla Springs in northwest Florida, near the Gulf of Mexico.
