Description
INVITING COURTYARD is a textured digital photograph by Carla Parris.
Eze is a medieval fortified village perched on a narrow rocky peak overlooking the Mediterranean sea in southeast Provence.
This charming pedestrianized French village features small narrow roads, archways, restored stone houses, shady squares, ancient fountains, and lovely courtyards, such as that pictured here.
This scene is enhanced by large group of daisies in the foreground, and a small potted red geranium, adding a little pop of color to an otherwise neutral scene.
Part of the charm and appeal of this scene is all of the wonderful textures in the old stone of the buildings and walkways, and the wrought iron metal gate.
I added additional texture to this version of the original photograph with an overlaid photograph of peeling paint.
There is also a version of the image without the added texture (available in my France gallery.)
