Description
"Manufactory" is an archaic word for factory. It makes sense; its a building or business where something is manufactured.
This historic, iconic old brick building is a prominent waterfront landmark and gateway to Gloucester’s inner harbor. It was the home of the Tarr and Wonson Paint Manufactory who manufactured America’s first copper paint, and played a vital role in maritime history and in the development of Gloucester, Massachusetts as a major fishing port.
