Description
The Mediterranean island of Elba is the third-largest of Italy's islands. It is part of the Tuscan Archipelago and the Arcipelago Toscano National Park. It is located in the Tyrrhenian Sea, about 30 miles east of the French island of Corsica. It is best known as the island to which French emperor Napoleon I was exiled for 300 days following after his forced abdication in 1814 pursuant to the Treaty of Fontainebleau. Napoleon arrived at Portoferraio on May 3, 1814.

Carla, I so agree, love the digital world, you never run out of film now and the costs are amazingly low! Also what you can do is beyond anything I thought would be possible in the 60s, removing wires, and all kinds of other stuff that annoys you, adding the right sunset or sunrise to an amazing photo that is otherwise bland. It is such an incredible time, your vision and knowledge are your only limitations now. I love it!

Michele, I also have some travel photos that I wish were digital. Just glad to be in the digital era now.

Takes me back to my time in Italy..it was a time before digital cameras, so my photos have mostly been lost.

Thank you, Jean. We did a serious uphill hike for this perspective, but it was totally worth it!!
