Description
Edam is a town in the Netherlands which is not far geographically from Amsterdam, but which feels miles away with its peaceful and serene ambiance.
Like Amsterdam, it is a city of canals. Along with Volendam and Marken, it is part of a larger area known as Waterland.
This is one of several picturesque historic bridges, seen here bathed in beautiful evening light.
