Description
Near Carrabelle, on the Florida Gulf Coast, the Crooked River lighthouse can be seen just off Highway 98.
The Crooked River is one of several rivers which ultimately flow into the Gulf of Mexico in the vicinity of the small coastal fishing village of Carrabelle.
This historic red and white lighthouse no longer serves as a beacon to seafarers,and now enjoys a home on the non-beach side of the coastal road where it is readily accessible to visitors.
