REACHING UPWARD is a photograph by Carla Parris.
This close up of a delicate, light pink cherry blossom, against a teal colored background, was photographed in the springtime in Tallahassee, Florida.
With its bloom facing upward, this spring flower is inspiring and encouraging.
I particularly like the way this macro image captures the flower's long, graceful pistil and stamen. I also like the depth of field, and lovely bokeh in the background of this close up photograph.
The beautiful flower looks optimistic, as it appears to be gazing towards the sky. It reminds us to aspire for that which is good and lovely, and to always be pressing forward and reaching upward.
