BEAUTIFUL BACKLIT PAPER KITE BUTTERFLY is a digital photograph by Carla Parris, taken at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens in Texas.
The conservatory was full of exotic butterflies from all over the world which had been released in early March, 2014.
They were fluttering around, perched on vegetation, and occasionally positioned on a visitor!
This Paper Kite, with its wonderfully patterned black and white wings, looked particularly beautiful with backlighting from sun streaming into the conservatory, shining through his delicate wings.
There were bright green leaves, beautiful blue skies, and small red tropical flowers enhancing the scene.
What a delight!
