SPRAY OF BEAUTIFUL WHITE ORCHIDS is a photograph by Carla Parris.
The first flowers my husband gave me were beautiful purple cattleya orchids.
This Valentine's Day, the tradition continued when he gave me a beautiful hybrid dendrobium phalaenopsis plant with two bloom and bud laden sprays of these gorgeous white orchids.
My father grew cattleya orchids when our family lived in Orlando, Florida, and I have always thought they are exotic, extravagant, very special flowers. Imagine my delight when my husband, knowing nothing of this, showed up on my doorstep for our first date with an orchid!! He has continued to amaze me.
