Description
LOURMARIN SKYLINE is a photograph by Carla Parris.
The French Provencal town of Lourmarin, located at the foot of the Luberon Massif, is listed as "one of the most beautiful villages in France."
This medieval perched village, nestled in the middle of vineyards, olive groves, cypresses, and almond trees, has a 15th century castle, the Romanesque St. Andre church, a lovely campanile, narrow streets, inviting shops, a wonderful weekly Provencal market, and some nice old fountains.
Lourmarin is the home of British expatriate Peter Mayle, author of A Year in Provence.

Very effective, striking piece, Carla. Nice vignette effect with the screen. Green trees add nice pop! F.

Thanks so much, Petko. All of those things help! I try to do most of that for many images, too.

Thanks so much, Lainie. I took this photo one May from a field full of poppies... Lovely Lourmarin!
