Description
THATCHED COTTAGE WINDOW is a digital photograph, taken in England, by Carla Parris.
The beautiful rural village of Selworthy, in Somerset, England, is located in the National Trust's Holnicote Estate on the northern fringes of Exmoor.
It has picturesque thatched cottages which are painted a creamy, buttery yellow with limewash that has been tinted with ochre.
The village and the surrounding Holnicote estate were given to the National Trust in 1944 by Sir Richard Acland, whose family had owned the estate for nearly 200 years.
This image features a curved leaded glass window under a thatched roof, surrounded by beautiful summer flowers. Wouldn't you love to be sitting in the surrounding gardens sipping a cup of tea and enjoying the view?
