Artist's Description
THE HUNTRESS is a painterly style fine art photograph by Carla Parris.
This beautiful grey fox, with her intent gaze and alert posture, is in pursuit of her prey.
The beautiful dappled light of the forest highlights her face and back, and some of the underlying woodland vegetation.
The palette of this piece is warm browns, with touches of gold, umber, and green.
Several textures used were courtesy of Jai Johnson.
About Carla Parris
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
