THE CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA IN VIGO SPAIN is a digital image by Carla Parris.
Vigo is a town in the Galicia region of Spain. It is a port on the Atlantic coast.
The Old Town of Vigo has cobblestone streets and interesting architecture at every turn. One of the landmarks of the region is the neoclassical style Church of Santa Maria, also called La Colegiata, or The Collegiate.
The simple facade of the structure has whitewashed walls with stone accents, including finials, arches, and a cross.
There is also a prominent cross on the apex of the red tile roof which, in this image, is pictured against a beautiful blue sky.
About Carla Parris
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
