ROSE COVERED DOORWAY NUMBER 9 IN VIVIERS FRANCE is a travel photograph by Carla Parris.
This charming rose-covered painted doorway on a weathered stone building is located in the charming medieval village of Viviers in the Ardeche region of France.
Texture layer, applied twice with different orientation and different modes, is from an original photograph of a wonderfully weathered interior wall in an old building in North Georgia.
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...

This might be my favorite - the tree with the berries crossing the arch (that looks like a Rowan which in medieval times was planted by a doorway to guard against evil). Incredible texture too - and the light on the door - just perfect. F/V
