Description
Provincetown, Massachusetts is a quintessential New England town positioned on the extreme northern tip of Cape Cod.
The town has rich roots in American history, as it is where the Pilgrims first landed in 1620, and the important Mayflower Compact was written and signed while the ship was in its harbor, although the Pilgrims ultimately first settled in nearby Plymouth.
The skyline of Provincetown, looking from the end of MacMillan Wharf towards town, is dominated by this former church (Center Methodist Church), now the Public Library, and the town's towering Pilgrim Monument, visible from other angles.
