BRIGHT ORANGE HONDURAN FLOWERING TREE is a digital photograph by Carla Parris.
The countryside outside Tegucialpa, Honduras is scattered with flowering trees which have clusters of vivid, bright orange flowers which are shaped something like a tulip.
This photograph was captured in Lizapa, Honduras, in October, 2015, at the end of the rainy season when the Honduran countryside is lush and green, and flowering tropical vegetation abounds.
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
