AQUA OVER ORANGE is a digital photograph by Carla Parris.
This wonderful curled, chipped, peeling aqua paint is striking with the orange background.
This image is a natural abstract in a naturally occurring complementary color scheme. The colors are vivid and striking, and the design is intriguing and pleasing!
I am a girl who loves texture, and I am drawn to distressed, weathered, aged, chipped, peeling surfaces. I enjoy painting furniture and then distressing it in a shabby chic, vintage, cottage style. But when you stumble upon this kind of patina - the kind that comes by years and the elements - you have found a treasure!
About Carla Parris
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
