A QUARTET OF SANDPIPERS AT WATERS EDGE is a digital photograph by Carla Parris.
These little sandpipers are one of my favorite sights at the beach. They are entertaining as they busily travel up and down the beach, usually in a hurry.
This sweet quartet was photographed at St. George Island, a beautiful barrier island off the Gulf Coast of Florida, south of Eastpoint.
Sandpipers are often seen in small groups. This image features an adorable foursome making their way along the shore, right at the water's edge, where they spend time looking for food and delighting tourists and locals alike. Their reflection can be seen in the damp sand left from an ebbing wave.
There is also a closer cropped version of this image called A Cute Quarter of Sandpipers.
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
