These straw flower bouquets, featuring wheat, dried flowers, and lavender from Southern France, were photographed at a Provencal market in Nice, on the French Riviera.
About Carla Parris
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...

Thanks, Cindy. This photo was taken in the old part of Nice, France that has a lovely market that is largely, but not exclusively, a flower market. It was totally charming. I thought this particular set of bouquets had a decidedly Provencal flavor.
