Description
Kingfishers are very skittish photography subjects, but they are so irresistibly cute, they are worth the challenge!
This fella is perched on a branch along the banks of the water running alongside Lighthouse Road, leading to St. Marks Lighthouse on the Gulf coast, within the extensive grounds of St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.
Kingfishers are frequently seen on branches and water markers, where their elevated position helps them spot their prey which, as their name suggests, includes fish. They often have messy feathers, and a bad hair day look, after diving.

Congratulations on your feature in Women Photographers only, February 2021. By the way, I saw your ad by pure chance today as I was browsing an online edition of Eye on Fine Art Photography, dated 2014. It happened to be in an email I received for MagCloud. I didn't know you created resin jewelry!
Carla Parris replied:
I am not currently doing much with my resin jewelry, but it was a fun project in its day!
