NOTRE DAME DE GRACE CHAPEL is a photograph by Carla Parris.
The ancient Notre Dame de Grace Chapel is a small stone chapel, built in 1600. Pictured here in afternoon light and encroaching shadows, it is situated on a hill with an impressive panoramic view overlooking Honfleur on the Normandy coast of France.
Honfleur is located on the southern bank of the estuary of the Seine across from the bustling industrial port of le Havre. It is near the modern suspension bridge called the Pont de Normandie.
Honfleur is a charming fishing village which is considered the site of the birth of impressionism.
About Carla Parris
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
