A photograph of a cluster of creamy white camellias with ruffly petals was the starting point of this digital creation.
The final image, in a palette of soft yellow, peach, and green, incorporates layers of texture and superimposed text, much of which is in French and in script.
About Carla Parris
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces.
