VINTAGE BLOSSOMS is a composite digital photograph by Carla Parris in a palette of denim blue, which brings to mind a favorite pair of jeans, and rose-tinted pink, with a tinge of purplish pink shading.
This vintage, cottage style image is a composite of two photographs: the subject, featuring a flowering branch of cherry blossoms (taken in Tallahassee, Florida), and the background, which was an aged, weathered, painted wall with dripping paint (taken in Quincy, Florida). The latter lends a vintage look and feel, and authentic patina, to the overall image..
These beautiful spring flowers, draped gracefully downward from an extended branch reaching towards the sky, look like ballerinas' skirts or tutus. Can't you just see them swirling and twirling around?
This altered, edited, enhanced, textured, layered, post processed, artistic, painterly style digital image, created from two original digital images, using Photoshop Elements, would be particularly nice...
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
