Description
Beautiful stalks of rich, rust-colored sorghum fill a field in northwest Florida.
Sorghum is a grass which originated in India. It is grown in the South for syrup, which is made from the stalks. It is also planted for animal feed, both to be fed to livestock and for foraging by wildlife.
This closeup image was captured in late autumn in Gadsden County, Florida, near the small rural towns of Gretna and Greensboro.
