Description
An aqua painted wooden boat has been abandoned on the shores of the ocean. Did it run aground? What happened to the sailors?
In actuality, this old boat was spotted on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico where a bridge crosses from the mainland of Florida, between Eastpoint and Apalachicola, to St. George Island, a barrier island which is a popular vacation spot. That photograph was the starting point for this layered, edited, textured image.
This composite digital creation has been given a tropical look and feel with the use of multiple textures, a map overlay, and a palmetto from another original photograph taken at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge in Wakulla, County.
