Description
Roussillon is one of many medieval perched villages in southern France. It is near the other Luberon towns of Lourmarin and Gordes, and the Abbaye of Senaque.
This particular town is known for its uniquely colored buildings, whose yellow, brown, siena, rust, terra cotta, orange, and mustard colors come from the nearby ocre hills. They are France's equivalent to the South's Red Georgia clay.
