Description
ROSEBUD HALO is a floral digital photograph by Carla Parris.
This beautiful pastel pink rose, in full bloom, appears to be surrounded by a halo of three rosebuds.
I love English roses! They are often tightly compacted (like many of the classic David Austen varieties), and are usually wonderfully fragrant.
Because it was late in the season ,I was particularly delighted to find this lovely bloom outside a pub in the town of Goodnestone, outside Canterbury, close to the beautiful gardens of the stately manor home of the Fitzwalter family.
It was probably cultivated, but this rosebush had the look of growing wild and free. At any rate, it was thriving in its English climate and its position in an English cottage setting.

What a splendid rose - and the light is perfectly heavenly. There's something so special about a late season rose like this. Phenomenal. F/L T P
