One of the things I enjoy about photography is the things I discover in the process. Sometimes it is something that I see and decide to photograph, but would not have perceived had I not had my camera in hand. Other times it is something I see in the image that I didn't notice at the time of the capture, like, as in this case, the lovely little yellow parts of these begonia blossoms. As many times as I have seen begonias over the years, I had never noticed these lovely details before. What a delight!
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces. My interest in traditional art has spilled over to my post processing of photographs, and in addition to images with minimal post...
