Perkins Island Light is one of several lighthouses on the beautiful Kennebec River in Maine.

The cluster of buildings includes the tower, a keeper's house, a barn, a bell house, and an oil house.

The wood-frame tower has a tapered octagonal shape. The exterior of the structure is covered in classic New England wooden shingles.

The light house was automated in 1959, and is still operational.

My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can!
