In downtown Tallahassee, Florida, there is a chain of parks between the eastbound and westbound lanes of Park Street.
This image was taken from one of those parks on a beautiful day with a cloudless blue sky.
When looking up, I saw the white cross atop the white steeple on Trinity United Methodist Church silhouetted in an opening in the overhead Spanish-moss draped limbs of towering live oak trees.
The pure bright white of the cross and spire are set off in vivid contrast to the deep blue sky.
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. These include images of our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, which I visit any time I can! I also enjoy capturing images of interesting flora and fauna, and wildlife images I am able to capture with my newest telephoto lens! I am a painter, as well as a photographer, and offer galleries of paintings and mixed media pieces.
