LAUNDRY DAY IN LISBON is a colorful digital photograph by Carla Parris.
The Old Town of Lisbon is full of charm. With its cobblestone streets and narrow, twisting streets and alleyways, there are picturesque sights at every turn.
This charming scene in Portugal's capital city features a trio of pastel painted buildings, with a clothesline full of brightly colored laundry handing outside the fourth story of the the center blue residence.
The buttery yellow building on the left has wrought iron balconies, one of which has flowerpots of red flowers and a pigeon perched on the railing.
The pale building on the right is punctuated with the brightly colored reddish orange tile roof.
This scene has a little of the new mixed in with the charm and patina of the old. There are antennas atop the building, and electrical wires running across the rooftops and over the facades of the buildings.
There is also an ornate gas lamp which is a typical sight in the historic parts of this medieval port city.
