Description
Driving through Somerset yields beautiful views of England's green and pleasant land at every turn. This rural county of England is filled with rolling hills such as the Blackdown Hills, Mendip Hills, Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park, and large flat expanses of land including the Somerset Levels. Uncultivated heath and moorland cover about a quarter of Exmoor's landscape. Some moors are covered by a variety of grasses and sedges, while others, such as the area depicted here, are dominated by heather.
Exmoor National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
