Description
Eclipse Crescents is an image of the crescent shape shadows which result, during a solar eclipse, when eclipsed sun light filters through leaves. The openings act as a multitude of pinhole cameras or pinhole projectors.
This image was captured in Tallahassee, Florida,on August 21, 2017, when the sun was approximately 85% eclipsed by the moon.
During the eclipse, I couldn't get an old Cat Stevens song out of my mine. "I'm being followed by a moon shadow..."
Our partial eclipse didn't result in a dramatic temperature drop or much darkness, but the shadows were very, very cool. They all had a very dreamy, ethereal, unusual, other worldly look to them.
