This cute pelican, with goofy big pigeon-toed feet and an extremely long beak, was photographed on a deck outside a restaurant on the marina in Monterey, California.
Monterey is a coastal town on scenic Highway One on the California coast. It has a wonderful aquarium, beautiful views, and great restaurants. Clam chowder is a local specialty.
My love of photography grew out of capturing images from my travels, so photographs of beautiful and interesting places comprise a large portion of my portfolio. I am a Southern girl, and love the beauty that is in my back yard, so there are also lots of images from close to home. Thanks, Katharine! I loved your big GOOFY feet comment! Yes, the Lord certainly did create an amazing assortment of creatures great and small, some with big goofy feet, and some with knobby-knees. I hope you will be sharing the latter with us very soon!
Katharine Birkett
Big, GOOFY feet. Reminds me of a seagull shot I have at home. The Lord has a sense of humor: seagull knees are proof. Ditto pelicans. Very nice image.
