Description
This unusual young white deer is grazing in a field of flowers in Sea Ranch, California, on the spectacular Sonoma County Pacific Coast.
The Sea Ranch is a ten mile stretch of coastal property on the northern part of Sonoma County, north of Bodega Bay and Jenner (where the Russian River meets the ocean), and just south of Gualala and Mendocino County.
This sweet creature was photographed grazing on tender white flowers in an open, mowed area between a row of vacation homes and a wild area of low brush.
The foreground is dotted with small flowers. The background has grasses, sticks, purple thistles, and low vegetation.
The 8x10 image has been lightly edited and enhanced. It is presented with a hint of a painterly look.
