Description
MONET'S FRONT GARDEN is a fine art photograph by Carla Parris.
French Impressionist painter Claude Monet, who was also a master gardener, worked on his gardens and pond at his home in Giverny, France, for 20 years before he began painting them.
The gardens in front of his home, Le Clos Normand, have a cottage garden look and feel, with their assortment of flowers providing a riot of colors in a happy, loosely structured jumble.
There is a flower-lined pathway, the Grande Allee, leading to the front steps of the house, which is covered with arched trellises, pictured here.
This is the view from the front of his house.
