I KNOW HE CARES FOR ME is a digital design by Carla Parris which began with an original digital photograph which was altered, edited, and processed to create the final design.

The initial digital photograph was an image of a charming garden statue amidst a bunch of not-so-charming junk.

The first digital image I created from that photograph is an edited image of the garden statue, surrounded by daisies (marguerites). That image, entitled "Marguerite," is available on this website.

This image is a further edit of the original photograph. A small sparrow sits on the bird bath which the young girl is holding on her lap.

The inspiration for this image is a line from a Christian song which says, "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He cares for me."

That line appears to have its roots in two passages of Scripture: the verses in the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus speaks of the Father's concern for the birds of the air, and so certainly for His children, and a passage where the apostle Peter encourages believers to cast their cares on Him, for He cares for them.

The image, in neutrals and predominantly white, appears against a black background, surrounded by a white frame.

This image was sized 5x7, so as to be suitable for a standard size greeting card, as well as the wide variety of prints available through Fine Art America.

Because of its comforting, reassuring words, this image would be suitable for someone going through a difficult time. I used this image for a card for a friend who was facing back surgery.
