Description
GLOWING GOLDEN ANGEL TRUMPETS is a digital photograph by Carla Parris showing a group of luminous, exotic yellow trumpet shaped blossoms, all bathed in beautiful light. The black background and vignette enhance the spectacular flowers.
Angel's trumpets are dramatic flowering plants in the Brugmansia genus of the Solanaceae family. They can be seen in white, pale salmon, and this rich, striking yellow.
Native to South America, these plants have large, downward-hanging, horn- or trumpet-shaped blooms which are very fragrant.
These gorgeous bright yellow angel's trumpets were photographed in March, 2013 on a large blossom-laden tree at the conservatory at Balboa Park in downtown San Diego, California.
As beautiful as these beauties are, it is important to know that they are poisonous.
