Description
This dilapidated building was photographed along the "Forgotten Coast" on a stretch of Highway 98 near the coastal towns of Eastpoint and Carrabelle, Florida, and near St.George Island. The area around the abandoned structure was strewn with oyster shells.
This coastal area, as well as stretches of the coast further west, is sometimes affectionately referred to by locals as the "Redneck Riviera."
No ,this is not Miami or even Destin, but it has its own charm and appeal. And the local seafood is phenomenal!!

Thanks, Sharon. There is a shop that carries some of my photo cards, and the owner wanted some cards with photos like this and the wording, "Greetings from the Redneck Riviera." She is a Gulf Coast girl, so she means that affectionately, and not at all disparagingly. I thought this was a particularly good candidate. :)
