Description
BEAUTY ON AN OLD STONE WALL is an edited and enhanced digital photograph by Carla Parris.
Old stone structures in European medieval cities are full of the kind of texture and patina that only come with centuries of exposure to the elements.
This thick stone wall has a cozy corner where the walls are covered with bits of ferns, lichens, and moss. Near the edge of a wide stone ledge, a small flowering plant, with purple blooms, has taken root in one of the deeper crevices. There are also tiny, delicate pink and white flowers blooming amid low-growing vegetation on both sides of the flowering plant.
The original photograph was taken in Vigo, Spain. It has been layered, textured, tweaked, and antiqued to enhance the vintage, Old World look and feel of the image.
The palette of this image is a pleasing triad color scheme of secondary colors (purple green, and gold).

Such a beautiful image, Carla! I happen to love stone walls, which are plentiful in New Hampshire, and I am very impressed with this one! Gorgeous processing and colors. l/f/g+
